Walking Group

WALKING GROUP

Now in its 5^th year the Walking Group continues to meet usually on the third Saturday morning of the month. The group welcomes new people to join us at any point. Every walk is open to absolutely anyone whether connected to the Church or not. We tend to walk between 3 and 7 miles and you generally know in advance whether it is going to be easy or harder. So why not come and join us?

Then as a group we are looking to join the Circuit Charity walk on the weekend of June 9th/10th. There will be a group party at the new Penketh Church on the Friday night and a special Circuit service on the Sunday morning. There is a 50 mile walk spread over a 24 hour period around the Circuit. Chris Ardern has already volunteered to get up early on the Saturday and start the first part of the walk. We are looking to have at least one person from Stockton Heath walking every 5 mile segment of this walk. There will be games for children in Walton Park during Saturday afternoon as the walk goes through this park. We are hoping to raise funds for the Action for Children Charity.
