All are welcome in room 3 in the hall at 9 am on Thursdays for half an hour.

Currently we are following the lectionary readings from the Gospels and the Psalms to guide our prayers.

We give thanks and praise God for His creation and we use intercessions.
We pray for help for situations in the world where there is conflict and need; where people are unfairly treated; for international events.
We pray for individuals in their need for healing of body, mind or spirit.
We pray for the work of the Church.
And we pray for ourselves.
We start with written prayers then people offer their own prayers as they wish: or you can just listen to the other prayers that are said.

It’s a good way to start off Thursdays so why not come and join us?

Lead me from death to life, from falsehood to truth.
Lead me from despair to hope, from fear to trust.
Lead me from hate to love, from war to peace.
Let peace fill our heart, our world, our universe.

“International Prayer for Peace” by Satish Kumar

Many people take time out and say this at 12 noon each day: we use it to end our time of prayer together.
